Stijn Jonckheere (°1989, Belgium) is a multi-disciplinary designer with close to 10 years of experience in the creative industry. While working as an architect for well over 5 years, his personal work gained traction, sparking his career as a visual artist.
Monochrome yet visually tense, his work revolves around the themes of memory and parallel realities. Contrasting their minimalistic composition, his drawings often hide a more complex message containing the artist’s emotions, personal history or societal criticism.
Following multiple solo exhibitions and features in publications worldwide, Jonckheere sought to apply his aesthetic to the world of advertising. Working as an art director creating anything from logotypes to large-scale campaigns for both start-ups and high-profile clients.
Besides his creative output Jonckheere has kept busy with teaching, lecturing and judging across architecture universities. Students can partake in his masterclass in experimental architecture given at EPFL Lausanne, since 2015.
Today, Stijn lives and works in Munich, Germany. Through both his artist studio as well as positions at various renowned agencies he continues to lend his vision to a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from architecture to advertisement.
